Mac Lackey

Lentz McSherry Lackey, Jr., “Mac”, passed away peacefully in Charlotte at the age of 72 after a long struggle with Alzheimers. He is survived by his wife, Pam, children, Amanda and Jason, granddaughter Grayson and his brothers, Bill and Bob. Born July 16, 1944 in Statesville, he attended Statesville High School,  Gordon Military College and graduated from Catawba College. He was a member of Broad St. United Methodist Church. He operated the family business Mac’s T.V. and Electronics and worked for the Iredell County Sheriff’s Dept. and the Iredell County Neighbors. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 1:30 P.M. at Oakwood Cemetery with a service following at Broad Street United Methodist Church a 2:00 P.M.
