Mable Wooten

Mable Jane Wooten, 100, of Statesville, cherished aunt and family care taker passed away peacefully on Friday, November 9, 2012 at Statesville Place. She was born to Wallace Haynes and Lovie Jane Wooten July 21, 1912. She worked at Walton's Hosiery Mill and Brenton Textiles, Inc. while staying home to care for her mother. Mable was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church. Mable joins her parents, two brothers and two sisters in heaven, along with a niece Jane Wooten Hartzog. She is survived by nephews Jim Beam (Barbara) of Statesville, Tom Beam (Carolyn) of Kernersville, John Beam (Janet) of Statesville, Chuck Wooten (Kathy) of Cullowhee, NC, and Ronnie Barnhart (Pat) of Baltimore, MD. The family would like to express gratitude to Statesville Place for the loving care of Mable for the past four years. And also to Hospice staff for their caring assistance in Mable's last days. Funeral services for Miss Wooten will be conducted 3:00 pm Monday, November 12, 2012 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert E. Sherer officiating. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
