Lucille Harwell

Marianna Lucille Whitlock Harwell, 77, of Statesville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House.
Mrs. Harwell was born on June 17, 1941 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late John Avery Whitlock and Pearl Trivette Whitlock. She attended Iredell County schools and was married to Donnie Frank Harwell, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Harwell was a member of Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church and was the piano player for 45 years as well as church secretary and Sunday School teacher. She worked as a payroll clerk at Hunter Brothers and retired from Gene’s Produce.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Harwell was preceded in death by one sister, Leola Moxley.
She is survived by a son, Jason Harwell and a sister, Lavonne Huie (Elmer), both of Statesville.
Funeral services honoring the life of Lucille Harwell will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 19, 2019, at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church, 108 Emmanuel Road, Troutman with Rev. Trent Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in the Wesley Chapel UMC Cemetery in Hamptonville. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service.
