Lori Lynn VanHorn

Lori Lynn VanHorn, 30, of Statesville, died Monday, August 12, 2019 at her home. Born in Warren, Ohio on July 21, 1989, she was a daughter of Sherry VanHorn Watkins.
Lori was a graduate of West Iredell High School class of ’07 and was employed with Corning Corporation.
Lori enjoyed working and especially her work family. She had a great love for her family but there was a special love she shared with her fiancé Daniel J. Greene, who she loved to travel with.
Lori was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Earnest & Helen VanHorn, Sr. along with other family, too many to mention.
In addition to her mother and fiancé, Lori is survived by a stepfather who helped raise her, Charles Winland and her stepfather now, Michael Watkins. Also surviving are two sisters, Kristine Winland, Jessica Dellinger, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Funeral services honoring the life of Lori VanHorn are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Nicholson Funeral Home with Pastor James Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends Friday evening, August 23, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Nicholson Funeral Home and will greet friends for one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
