Mrs. Lola Belle Aye Lindsey, 83, of Thomasville, NC passed away March 4, 2021 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. Lola was born in Thomasville on April 3, 1937 to the late Carl Young and Cora Holland Herring Harmon. She is a member of Friendship Baptist Church, she loved to watch old western movies and programs, loved her canine companions Squeaky, Jumper, Bandit, and Blue, as well as her parrot Lola, and loved going to Petsmart to purchase fish for her aquarium. In addition to her biological parents, Mrs. Lindsey is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Carl James Lindsey, Sr., her adoptive parents George and Fannie Aye, her son William Eugene Lindsey, her brother James Griffin, and her sister Mary Helen Rushing. Left to cherish her memories are her children Evon Harrison (Donald) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Yvonne Prickett (Herman) of Thomasville, NC, Carl James Lindsey, Jr (Marissa) of Miami, FL, and Carolyn Anderson of Winston-Salem, NC, 19 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, nephew Nicky Gonzalez of Philadelphia, PA, and numerous other nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at B & B Funeral & Cremation Services, 1528 National Highway, Thomasville, NC at 11:00 am on Saturday, March 13, 2021. A Homegoing service will immediately follow at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Salisbury National Cemetery in Salisbury, NC.
