Our beloved Lisa Dawn Lakey Kennedy went home to be with our Heavenly Creator Saturday, November 28, 2020 at approximately 12:50 p.m. She was surrounded by her closest friends and sisters in Christ with gospel music while her sister Davana Moore sang 10,000 Reasons as she drew her last breath. Along with Davana, Lisas other sisters in Christ; Cami Carter, BernieYoung, Teri Hester and Rose Goins sang her favorite song Well Done Thy Good and Faithful Servant as the angels escorted her to her place of eternal peace. Lisa was born March 20, 1967 to the late Roy Lee and Mary Elizabeth Lakey of Lexington. She was preceded into eternal life by her father, mother; brothers, Bobby Joe Lakey, Burney Scott Scotty Snider, Scottys wife Karen and Lisas dear friend David Wright. She is survived by her brothers, Thomas Edward Snider and Roy Glen Snider;niece,Michelle Evans;nephews, Glen and Lloyd Snider, and Glens wife Tina and their children, Matthew and Kelly Snider. There will be a CELEBRATION OF LIFE service on December 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the Wellspring Community Church,600 May Road, Thomasville. Immediately afterwards there will be One Last Ride with Lisa on her old Harley Davidson to Tamarac Marina. For those who wish to join us, the Marina will be open and serving food and drinks regardless of weather. Lisas favorite verse was Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.
