Lisa Rickert Fraley, 40, of Statesville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Gordon Hospice House following a lengthy illness. Ms. Fraley was born December 11, 1970 in Iredell County and was the daughter of James Rickert, Jr. and Vickie Fox Lusk. She was a graduate of West Iredell High School. Ms. Fraley was owner of Appalachian Court Reporting where she worked as a court reporter in Watauga County. She attended Faith Fellowship and Harvest Ministries. Ms. Fraley was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry Fox and Evelena Lowe. In addition to her parents, James Rickert, Jr. (Carol) and Vickie Fox Lusk (James), Ms. Fraley was also survived by one daughter, Marissa Soto of Ashe Co. N.C.; two sons, Miguel Soto of Ashe Co. and Gabriel Soto of Statesville; one brother, James Rickert, III (Tina Eller); paternal grandparents, Jim and Estelle Rickert; one uncle, John Rickert (Derinda); two aunts, Patricia Benge (Ricky) and Debbie Mason (Brian), all of Statesville. She is also survived by a great-aunt, Dorothy Gantt of Newton, N.C.; special friend and caregiver, Cheryl Wheeler of Lansing, N.C., cousin and caregiver, Pam Swicegood, along with special friends, Carol and Gwynn, all of Statesville. Numerous cousins also survive. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 pm Monday, April 25, 2011, at Snow Creek U.M.C. with Rev. Brenda Brasher, Rev. Elliott Osowitt, and Rev. Bill Mason officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:30 until 3:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
