Leslie Phillips Foster Davidson, 59, of Statesville, died Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Novant Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.
Leslie was born in Iredell County on December 31, 1959 to the late Wallace Wilkie Foster and Betty Lou Walters Foster who survives. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church where she was both a Sunday school teacher and a member of the Church Council.
In addition to her mother, Leslie is survived by her husband, Max Douglas “Doug” Davidson, Jr. to whom she was happily married for 30 years. She is survived by a sister, Kathryn Foster Gantt (Shannon) of Statesville, 2 sons, David Christopher Davidson (Brandon) of Newton, NC and John-Barron Foster Davidson of the home, a daughter, Jennifer Lynn Davidson Holsworth (Michael) and a grandson, Dougles Alexander Holsworth of Statesville.
Leslie graduated from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri and studied abroad at both Oxford University and Cambridge University. She also served an internship with the BBC.
She was extremely generous and was always assisting others. She maintained a positive outlook, even in the hardest of times. She was passionate about her Fresh Fountain Farms, a Certified Organic farming operation. She loved watching movies, reading her Bible, and spending time in the mountains. She loved animals including her La Mancha goats who were her favorites, especially Piper. Leslie was very sentimental and her family was the most important part of her life.
Services for Leslie will be private. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to St. Johns Lutheran Church, 740 N. Center St., Statesville, NC 28677. Online condolences may be left at www.nicholsonfunerals.com . Nicholson Funeral Home is serving the Davidson family.
