Lesia Ann (Crawford) Houck

Lesia Ann Crawford Houck, 65, of Statesville, died Tuesday, September 19, 2017 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born on February 15, 1952 in Burlington, N.C. She was a member of Sharon Lutheran Church and was an avid quilter. She enjoyed keeping children engaged and while she was still able, worked for the Iredell County Schools Afterschool Care program. She attended Statesville Senior High School. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth J. Houck, Sr. and a brother, Phillip Crawford. Survivors include sons, Benjamin Yates of the home and Kenneth Houck, Jr. of Pineville, daughters, Karen Payne (Jeffrey) of Charlotte and Emily Miller of Denver and a brother, Kenneth Crawford of Statesville. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Madeline Payne, Phoebe Payne, Wesley Miller and Zane Miller. Services celebrating Mrs. Houck’s life will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Sharon Lutheran Church. She will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service while the family receives friends in the church fellowship hall.
