Laurie Ann Williams, 45, of Mooresville, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center. She was born in Newburyport, Mass. on April 8, 1969 to Roland and Linda Fairbanks Cook. Laurie was a graduate of Amesbury, Mass. High School and received a Business Degree from Phoenix University. She worked in customer service for Energy United Propane. On March 14, 1996, she married Jeffrey Ray Williams, who survives. They had over 19 years of marriage before her passing. Along with her parents and husband, Jeff, she is survived by a daughter, Amber Denise Williams Smith (Josh) of Mooresville; a son, Joshua Ray Williams of Stony Point; four grandsons, Skyden Smith, Ryker Smith, Loukas Smith, and Colton Williams; a sister, Tina Lambert; maternal grandmother, Marie Fairbanks of New Hampshire, and several aunts and uncles. She is further survived by a father-in-law, Thomas Waugh of Troutman; a mother-in-law, Vickie Waugh of Troutman; two brothers-in-law, Hubert Williams of Statesville and Donnie Williams of Troutman; a sister-in-law, Joyce Murray (Donald) of Salisbury; a brother-in-law, David Waugh of Mooresville; and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mrs. Williams will be held 2:00PM Sunday, March 22, 2015 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rabon Riddle officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
