Larry Irvin Williams, 70, of Windy Gap, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014 at Wake Forest Medical Center. Mr. Williams was born December 4, 1943 in Iredell County to the late John Call "J.C." Williams and Hazel Edwards Williams, who survives. He attended Union Grove School and on September 14, 2001 he married Lee Shores Williams, of the home. He retired from Kosa and was an avid gardener. In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by three daughters, Joan Allison (Paul) of Olin, Anne Stewart (Kevin) of Salisbury, Denise White of Windy Gap and three sons, Chad Williams (Angie) of Troutman, Freeman White of Windy Gap and Worthy Davis of Salisbury. He is also survived by sisters Derlie Campbell of Statesville, Janice Massengill of Butner, Melba Green (Mike) of Statesville, Shelba Bissell of Statesville and Kathy Williams (Ray) of Creedmore. He is further survived by seventeen grandchildren and three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Williams. Memorial services will be conducted 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 26, 2014 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with good friends Bill Wooten and Edward Bissell officiating.
