Dean Myers

Larry "Dean" Myers, a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away on October 23, 2023, at the Abbotts Creek Center in Lexington. He was born on April 5, 1957, in Davie County. Throughout his life, Dean touched the hearts of many with his warm personality, infectious laughter, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Dean was a man of many interests and talents. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished every moment he spent with his loved ones. One of his favorite pastimes was barbecuing; he had an incredible skill for grilling mouthwatering meals that brought people together. His expertise in hunting allowed him to connect with nature and appreciate the beauty of wildlife. An avid dog trainer, he formed deep bonds with his furry companions and passed on his knowledge to those around him. His adventurous spirit led him to explore the outdoors on his trusty Gator, where he found solace and serenity in the open fields. As a dedicated farm manager, he embraced hard work and took pride in tending to the land.

Geraldine Richardson was Dean's loving spouse who shared countless precious memories with him. They embarked on life's journey hand in hand, supporting each other through thick and thin. Dean's devotion to Geraldine will forever be cherished.

Dean's parents, Robert F. Myers and Faye S. Myers, provided him with a nurturing upbringing that shaped him into the remarkable person he became. Their love and guidance laid the foundation for his strong character and compassionate nature.

He will be dearly missed by his surviving family members: his brother Roger Myers (Martha) and sister Nancy Hayes. The bond between Larry and his siblings was unbreakable; they shared laughter, adventures, and unconditional support throughout their lives.
