Kenneth Ray “Tootsie” Davidson, age 93, was reunited with his mom and family in heaven on Monday, February 13, 2017. He grew up in his overalls on a farm in Olin, NC with his mom, dad, sister, and brothers. Even though he had polio as a child, which left him with physical and mental challenges, Tootsie was always a sweet happy soul who loved life. He greeted everyone with a smile and a handshake. He liked his pinto beans and cornbread, moonpies, and Pepsi. Tootsie attended Hebron Baptist Church and always enjoyed the old Christian hymns. He liked to watch Hee Haw and listen to country music on his radio, humming along and tapping his toes. Tootsie’s favorite time of year was Christmas. He loved Santa and was excited to see him every year. Tootsie was one of God’s most precious special children. Although unable to walk here on Earth for many years, he is now running in Heaven on the streets of gold. A service celebrating his life will held Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Hebron Baptist Church with his nephew Pastor Carlton Davidson officiating. Burial will be in the Hebron Baptist Church cemetery. Tootsie was preceded in death by his parents, Teddy Ray Davidson and Dura Mowbray Davidson; his brothers, Bill, Gilbert, and Carl Davidson; and his sister, Jenny Davidson Parks. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Kim Michaels, Debbie Lankford, Tandra Wilkinson, Landon Davidson, Carla Johnson, Carlton Davidson, Daryl Davidson, Tina Pardue, and Kevin Pardue.
