Kenneth Burton Davis

Kenneth Burton Davis, age 88 of Trussville, AL passed away on November 5, 2015. He was born on August 27, 1927 in North Carolina to George W. and Alice Burton Davis. He graduated from Woodleaf High School and Brison Business School in North Carolina. He worked 40 years of service with Northfolk Southern and retired in Property and Loss Prevention. He was a member of Ashville Road Church of Christ in Leeds, AL. He was a well-respected Christian leader in the Church of Christ. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  Kenneth is predeceased by his parents; sister, Lois Davis Lazenby; brother, Eustace Davis.  He is survived by his wife of 60½ years, Carolyn Taylor Davis; daughter, Julie Davis Troxwell; sons, K. Wesley Davis and Kevin Taylor Davis; grandchildren, Alexa Davis, Jared Davis, Shelby Davis, and Heather Collins; sister, Ann Ehlers (Robert); along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins and dear friends. The family would like to thank St. Vincent’s Hospice for their exceptional care and special care giver, Cristie Hobey. Services will be held on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 12:00pm with visitation starting at 10:30am at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Trussville, AL. Burial will be 11:00 Wednesday, November 11, 2015 in the Jericho Church of Christ Cemetery in Mocksville, NC. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Jericho Church of Christ Cemetery Fund, P.O.
