Kenneth "Slick" Jackson Campbell, 73, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2015 at the Gordon Hospice House. He was born in Iredell County on February 16, 1941 to the late Jackson R. and Maggie Templeton Campbell. Mr. Campbell attended Union Grove High School and was self-employed sheet metal worker with C and C Installation. He was a Mason and on November 16, 1984 married Louise Polston Campbell, who survives. He attended Smith Chapel. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Louise; two daughters, Jan Settlemyer (David) and Wendy Brigman (Todd); a son, Luther Faulk (Denise); four grandchildren, John Chris, Ashley, Micheal, and Matt; and three great grandchildren, Marshall, Thomas, and Kinsley. He is further survived by a sister, Nellie Ruth Rash; two brothers, Chuck Campbell (Lee) and Richard Campbell (Shelby); and one old, lazy granddog, Tank. Funeral services for Mr. Campbell will be held 5:30 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at the Nicholson Funeral Chapel with Pastor Tom Thomas officiating. A private family burial will be held at a later date. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 4:30 until 5:30 PM.
