Kendra Blankenship Royall, 54, of Statesville, passed away, July 25, 2015 following a lengthy illness. Born in Iredell County on June 30, 1961, she was the daughter of James Blankenship (Kathy) and Linda Murdock Harmon (Jerry). She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bob and Edith Murdock, who she is happily standing beside now, and looking down upon us….. She was a fighter and had overcome many health challenges in her lifetime, she stayed strong due to her deep love and devotion to her children. She leaves behind her husband, Mickey Royall and her loving in-laws, who shared this journey with her. Annette (Allen) Eldridge, Josephine Royall and many other family members and a host of long term friends. She is further survived by her siblings, Crystal Blankenship Haller, Susan Blankenship (David Clark), Corbey Blankenship; niece, Tara H. Salter (Jeremy); great nephew, Kaleb Salter and most important, her children, who her world revolved around, her son, Andy Jenkins and wife, Diana and daughter, Nykkole Royall. A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. Friday, July 31, 2015 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends on Friday 5:00-6:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home and also following the service at her daughter’s home, 2134 Newton Dr. Thank you to everyone for the prayers and support for Kendra and her family.
