Keith Brown

David Keith Brown, 57, of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at Serenity House in Mooresville. He was born in Iredell County September 17, 1956 to the late James Louis Brown and Colleen Caudill Brown. Mr. Brown was a 1974 graduate of South Iredell High and served his country honorably in the U.S. Army from 1974-1978. He was formerly married to Muffet Weber, who survives. He grew up attending Southside Baptist Church and was employed by Werner Truck & Roehl Transport. Mr. Brown is survived by one daughter, Melissa Brown Murillo (Jairo) along with two granddaughters, Aimee Brook Murillo and Rachel Colleen Murillo all of Atenas. Costa Rica. He is also survived by a brother Michael Dennis Brown (Jane) of Lincolnton, a sister Jan Brown Adams (Mike) of Kannapolis and in-laws Marion and Arthur Weber of Statesville. Funeral services will be held at Nicholson Funeral Home on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Addison and Pastor Rick Norman officiating. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home prior to the service from 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Serenity House at Comfort Care Coalition 110 Centre Church Rd, Mooresville, NC 28117 and Hospice of Iredell County 2347 Simonton Rd Statesville, NC 28625.
