Kaelan Avery Privette, 17, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016. He was born in Iredell County on July 12, 1998 to Keith Alan Privette and Sara McCann Johnson. Kaelan was a sweet, loving, and gentle spirit who loved his family and friends fiercely. He loved all animals, especially reptiles and amphibians, and had a great compassion for them. Over his life, he had a vast collection of animals but he loved his dog, Chloe, most of all. Kaelan is survived by a big family who love him greatly; his father, Keith Privette; mother and step-dad, Sara and Brian Johnson; his sisters, Sela and Karys; his brother, Aiden; grandparents, Nancy Privette and Kenneth and Dana McCann; great grandparents, Nellie and the late Benny McCann and Bob and Pat McKinney; aunts and uncles, Annette and John Keller, Karen and Chad Daniels, Anthony and Renee Privette, Rebecca and Randy Mitchell, Jason and Kerrie Privette, Rachel and Kevin Privette, and Ben McCann; along with many cousins. He is further survived by his best friends, Nic Ottone, Jamie Lewis, Jeremy Poole, and Brandon Cline, as well as his best love, Julia Fox. A Graveside Funeral Service will be held 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Taylor Springs Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Ervel Jones and Pastor David Porter officiating.
