Jurell Herbert

Jurell Lambert Herbert, 75, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly, Jan. 6, 2011 at Forsyth Medical Center. Ms. Herbert was born Sept. 19, 1935 in Iredell County to the late Luin and Grace Lambert. She is survived by daughters, Debra Herbert, Karen Warricks (Steve), Terrie Powell and one son, Alan Herbert (Anita). Also surviving are six grandchildren, Julie Caviness (Trent), Jason and Daniel Warricks, Haylee and Addison Herbert and Jennifer Compton, one great grandson, Tyler, one brother, L.W. Lambert, Jr. (Edith) and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011 at Sweet Home Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Warricks officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1:30-2:30 at the church and at other times the family will assemble at the home of Karen Warricks, 2862 Jennings Rd., Statesville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Rodney, Josh and Nick Tomlin, Derrick Cornette, Rodney Robinson, Todd Pageant, Justin Spears and Rodney Warricks.
