Juanita Williams Redmond, 94, of Union Grove, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, Oct 1, 2015 at the home of her daughter. She was born In Iredell County on October 12, 1920 to the late Mack Bernie Williams and Zula Lenora Johnson Williams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Howard Columbus Redmond; six brothers, Boyce, Darrell, Wade, Mitchell, Talley, and Gale Williams. Mrs. Redmond was a devoted life-long member of Taylor Springs Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. She was a hard worker and a great presence in her community. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dawn Redmond Smith; one grandson, Shaun Hester; one daughter, Keri Hester Tyson (Mike); two beloved great-granddaughters, Berlin Hester and Karter Tyson; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 until 3:00 PM Sunday, October 4, 2015 and service at 3:00 PM at Taylor Springs Baptist Church. The Rev. Carl Ray Williams will be officiating.
