Mrs. Joyce Ann Cook Creedmore, 73, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Creedmore was born in Iredell County on September 2, 1941, and was the daughter of the late William John Cook and Rachel Ann Gregory Cook. She was a graduate of Statesville High School class of 1959 and Mitchell College School of Nursing. On October 9, 1959, she married Donald Blair Creedmore, Sr., who survives. She was worked at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Respiratory Therapy for a number of years and retired as a nurse for Dr. Henry Walters. Mrs. Creedmore enjoyed her work, gardening, reading and being at the beach and most of all, her association with people. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. In addition to her husband of 55 years, she is survived by one son, Donald Blair Creedmore, Jr. of Fort Mill, SC; three brothers, Bobby Lee Cook of Pineville, NC, Donald Allen Cook (Glenda) and Billy Joe Cook (Brenda), both of Statesville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service for Mrs. Creedmore will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, November 20, 2014, at Fairview Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Scott Eanes and Pastor Paul Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Norman, Johnny, and Allen Creedmore, Kent and Rodney Cook, and Troy Josey. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday evening 6:30 until 8:00 PM at Nicholson Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the building fund of Fairview Baptist Church, 349 Turnersburg Hwy, Statesville, NC 28625 or to the church or charity of the donor's choice.
