Joshua "Josh" Wayne Atkins

Joshua "Josh" Wayne Atkins, age 43, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Born on September 14, 1979, in Forsyth County, NC, he was the son of Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Atkins and Nadine Humphrey Scaggs.
Josh loved to Bull ride. His passion for Bull riding began in high school. He enjoyed hunting and listening to his favorite music, "Hard Rock." Josh was preceded in death by his uncle, Keith Humphrey.
Those left to cherish his memory include his parents, Gerald "Jerry" Wayne Atkins and Nadine Humphrey Scaggs; his brother, Nathan Atkins (Shannon); half siblings, Christopher "Chris" Atkins, Tyia Glidewell (Joshua), Tayla Atkins, Isaiah Foley, and Carmen Atkins; his aunts and uncles, Annette (Dennis) Marshall, Donny (Barbara) Atkins, Kenny (Sandy) Atkins, and Margaret Humphrey; niece and nephew, Hyde Atkins and Bella Atkins; and numerous cousins.
An Outdoor Celebration of Life will be held beginning at 4:00 pm, Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Atkins Family Home, 9039 Stack Rd., Colfax, NC 27235.
