Joseph Edwin Mowbray

Joseph Edwin Mowbray, age 50, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at his home. Born on November 26, 1971, in Rowan County, NC, he was the son of the late James Edwin Mowbray and Phyllis Ann Rogers Mowbray.
Joe was the owner of his successful, self-owned business Joe Mowbray Flooring, Inc. He enjoyed golfing when he was able to and had a love and passion for "grilling" with family and friends. He was a very energetic and selfless person who lit up every room he walked into and would do anything for the people he loved. Joe was an amazing husband, father, and friend to all.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 28 years, Kimberly Johnson Mowbray; his children, Wilson Edwin Mowbray and Mary Cartha Mowbray; his brother, Jon Mowbray; his brother-in-law, Bradley Luther Johnson and his significant other, Nesa Cole ; several nieces and nephews; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Linda Johnson.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Nicholson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Joe's life will be held at a later date.
