John Thomas Adams, 56, of Morganton and formerly of Statesville, died Tuesday, May 5, 2015 in Morganton. Born July 3, 1958 in Iredell County, he was a son of the late Calvin Monroe Adams, Jr. and Mary Nash Adams. He was a disability retired sales representative and enjoyed guitar and music. He was a member of St. Matthews United Methodist Church in Morganton and active in their bakery ministry. He was a graduate of Statesville High School and East Carolina University. Survivors include a brother, C.M. (Chuck) Adams, III and his wife, Alice of Statesville and a sister, Lynne Adams Brantley and her husband, William of Pineville. Services celebrating John’s life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. today (Friday) at Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Heather Kilbourne and Rev. H. Cowles Bristol, III. officiating.
