Mr. Jacob Leroy (J.L.) Deaton, 69, died March 12, 2018. Born in Iredell County on August 4, 1948, he was a son of the late Jacob Leroy Deaton, Sr. and Doris Tucker Deaton. He was a retired mechanic.
He is survived by a son, Jaryd Harris and his mother, Angie Harris, a sister, Cynthia (Kaye) Miller and a brother, Darius Deaton (Mary) along with an uncle, Dr. Paul Deaton (Jackie) and two aunts, Mary Frances McNeely and Barbara J. Hayes.
