Jimmy Ray Fowler, age 85, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at the Hospice Home of the Piedmont in High Point. Born on July 7, 1938, in Jamestown, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Grady Clinton Fowler and Mamie Lee Fowler.
Mr. Fowler was a man of faith who had a strong belief in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He had a love for "antiquing" and enjoyed NASCAR, Stockcar racing and fishing. One thing for sure, he would say that he "hated Mondays."
In addition to his parents, Grady Clinton and Mamie Lee Fowler, he was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Clinton Fowler; sister, Wilma Witcher; and brothers, Leon Fowler, Donald Fowler, and David Fowler.
Left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Darla Fowler Murphy; and her husband, Daniel H.T. Murphy grandchildren, Dakorie Murphy (Sarah), Devin Murphy (Dani), Drake Emmanuel Murphy (Nava), and Danielle Murphy Sechler; (Ethan) and great-grandchildren, Declan Murphy, Dawsyn Murphy, Zaven Murphy, Adam Murphy, and Daphne Sechler.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville. Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel has the honor of serving the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice Home at High Point / Hospice of the Piedmont, 1803 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262.
