Jimmie Wayne Casper, a cherished resident of North Carolina, passed away on January 22, 2025, in Davidson County at the age of 76. Born on October 12, 1948, in Rowan County, North Carolina, Jimmie spent his life dedicated to his craft and his community.
For over two decades, Jimmie was a skilled professional quilter at Normans in Salisbury NC, where his meticulous work and dedication were greatly admired by colleagues and clients alike. Beyond his professional life, Jimmie had a keen interest in recycling and salvaging metal, a passion that reflected his commitment to sustainability and creativity.
Jimmie was also a valued member of Faith Community Chapel in Thomasville, where he attended faithfully for eight years. His presence in the community and among the congregation will be sorely missed.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Milton Casper and Helen Lowery, Half Brother James, Sister Jewell, Sister Joanne, Sister June, Brother Joe, who undoubtedly welcomed him into their embrace once more. Jimmie leaves behind his brother, Jerry Casper Jr. (Geraldine), Sister Jackie, Brother Juan (Sharmen), along with numerous friends and colleagues who were touched by his kindness and generosity.
Flowers may be sent to the church for the service, as a gesture of love and remembrance for a man whose quiet strength and gentle spirit left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to know him.
