Jettie Safriet

Jettie Victoria Tucker Safriet, 81, of 1851 Safriet Rd., Statesville, NC went to be with the Lord on Jan. 21, 2011. She was born Oct. 29, 1929 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Dollie McLelland Tucker and Ethel Bullin Tucker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dallas Clayman Safriet, Jr. and two sisters, Mary Lou T. Bell and Doris T. Deaton. Mrs. Safriet is survived by her son, Douglas M. Safriet of Statesville, her daughter, Sandra S. Sane of Charleston, SC; three grandchildren, Carrie S. Kennedy, Cory M. Sane and Dave W. Sane; three great grandchildren, one sister, Barbara T. Hayes (Horace), sister-in-law, Wanda Bost and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Safriet was an Entrepreneur business owner and real-estate investor. She was loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all and very charitable to anyone in need. She was talented in music, art painting and crafts. She was a lifetime member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Rev. Sam Childs officiating.
