Jettie Ann Holland

Jettie Ann Shoemaker Holland, 83, of Statesville, passed away, Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Holland was born February 14, 1935 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Monroe and Cora Lee S. Shoemaker. She attended Iredell County Schools, graduated from Liberty Bible College and was married to the late Newton Gwynn “Bill” Holland, Jr. She was retired from Badger Industries and was an active member of Liberty Baptist Church.

Mrs. Holland is survived by one son, Roger Holland of Olin, one daughter, Terry H. Minnish of Statesville, two granddaughters, Annette Minnish, Misti Minnish, three great grandchildren, two sisters, Betty S. Pearce of Statesville, Geraldine S. Pendergrass of Troutman and two brothers, Gary Shoemaker of Statesville and Albert Shoemaker of Statesville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, April Holland, Shane Holland, one brother, Mitchell Shoemaker and a son-in-law, Ezra Minnish.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at Liberty Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Wooten officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Nicholson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
