Jessie Loraine Westmoreland

Jessie Loraine Wyatt Westmoreland, 72, of Union Grove, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Gordon Hospice House. Born on December 20, 1948 in Wilkes County, NC, she was the daughter of the late William Thomas Wyatt and Elizabeth Fern Wyatt.

Mrs. Westmoreland was a member of Grassy Knob Baptist Church in Union Grove. For many years, she worked as a private home health CNA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister who cherished her family. Spending time with her family meant the “world to her.”

In addition to her parents, William Thomas and Elizabeth Wyatt, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Stephen Cass; her son, Baron “Tommy” Cass; and her brothers, Bobby June Wyatt, Ted Jerry Wyatt, and Tommy Wyatt.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 14 years, David Wyatt; daughters, Tammy Lynette Cass and Lori Ann Cass of Union Grove; grandchildren, Thomas Cass of Harmony, Randy Sharpe of Hamptonville, Kasey Reece of Harmony, Colby Canoy of Georgia, and Kode Cass of Union Grove; great-grandchildren, Brennan Canoy and Gavin Lee Sharpe; sisters, Elizabeth Synder of North Wilkesboro, and Carol Billings of McGrady, NC; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Grassy Knob Baptist Church in Union Grove. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm at the church. Burial will follow the services in Grassy Knob Baptist Church Cemetery.
