Jerry Rhyne

Jerry Keith Rhyne, 56, of Statesville, passed away, Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Rhyne was born December 14, 1956 in Iredell County and was the son of William L. "Bud" Rhyne of Statesville and the late Dorothy Amelia Myers Rhyne, who passed away April 23, 2013. He was a graduate of West Iredell High School and Mitchell Community College. He was attending Rocky Mount United Methodist Church and was an insurance agent for Erie Insurance. In addition to his father, he is survived by two sons, Austin Keith Rhyne, currently attending the University of Alabama, William Charles Rhyne of Statesville, one brother, Steven Lee Rhyne (Kathleen Hans) of Stony Point, special friend, Pam King and numerous nieces, nephews and several close friends. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at New Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Jamie Hamrick officiating. The family will visit with friends 11:00 AM -2:00 PM Saturday at the New Salem U.M.C. Fellowship Hall. A private family burial will follow the service at Pisgah United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of New Salem U.M.C. for Austin & William Rhyne's college fund.
