Mr. Jerry Dale Mayberry, 52, of Statesville, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2015, as a result of a motorcycle accident. Mr. Mayberry was born in Iredell County on April 2, 1962, and was the son of Hildred Martin Mayberry and the late Frances Mae Deal Mayberry. He attended West Iredell High School and he was married to Mary Keller Mayberry, who survives. Mr. Mayberry worked as a machinist for Deal’s Machine Shop and he was of the Baptist Faith. Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a giving and caring man who enjoyed being outdoors. He loved shooting, drawing and riding his Harley Davidson but nothing compared to spending time with his two granddaughters. Along with his mother, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Tommy and Dan Mayberry and his mother-in-law Barbara Keller. In addition to his wife and best friend, Mary and his father Hildred, he is survived by his son, Justin Mayberry and a daughter, Melissa M. Hines (Jesse) along with two granddaughters, Madison Barnette and Ali Hines, all of Statesville. He is also survived by a brother, David Mayberry (Jeannie), a sister, Barbara Willard (Mike), and sister-in-law, Renee Mayberry. He is further survived by his father-in-law, Marvin Keller, three sisters-in-law, Jeannie Dellinger (Kenny), Debbie Johnson (Richard), and Tammy Keller, along with close family friend, Chris Karalles. Funeral services for Jerry Mayberry will be conducted 2:00 pm Thursday, February 12, 2015, in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Dellinger officiating. The family will visit with friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens.
