Jeremy Moorefield

[caption id="attachment_7377" align="alignleft" width="94" caption="Jeremy Wayne Moorefield"][/caption] Jeremy Wayne Moorefield, 31, of Sophia, NC, and formerly of Cool Springs, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at Randolph Hospital following a 2 � year battle with bone cancer. Mr. Moorefield was born June 16, 1982, in Mecklenburg County and was the son of Jerry Wayne Moorefield and Mary Ann Cape Campbell. He was a graduate of Iredell County schools and on September 9, 2006, he married Kelly Nicole Frank Moorefield, who survives. Mr. Moorefield attended Faith Baptist Church in Trinity, NC and he worked for Delmonte Foods as a truck driver while his health would allow. Jeremy was an outdoorsman and he loved horses and fishing along with all other outdoor activities. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Frank Moorefield and daughter, Hannah Moorefield of Sophia, NC, father, Jerry Moorefield of Cleveland, NC, mother, Mary Ann Campbell (Mike), one sister, Heather Dawn Moorefield Griffin all of Harmony, and grandmother, Mabel Cape of Statesville. He is also survived by two step-brothers, Casey Campbell of Harmony and Cassidy Campbell (Jona) of Statesville along with his father and mother-in-law, Freddie and Donnet Frank of Sophia, NC, one brother-in-law Brandon Frank (Elizabeth) of Santa Rosa, CA, and one sister-in-law, Holly Heffernan (Kevin) of Charlotte. He is further survived by two nieces, one nephew, and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services for Mr. Moorefield will be conducted 2:00 pm Saturday, March 8, 2014, at New Hope Baptist Church with Pastor Dave Williams, Pastor Doug Davis, and Rev. Ervel Jones officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery in Harmony. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 pm at Nicholson Funeral Home.
