Jean Moore Bradford of Statesville passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, August 4, 2011. Jean was a precious and very special child of God. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and cousin; a constant source of joy for her family and all those who knew and loved her. Jean was preceded in death by her loving parents Robert L and Patty M Bradford and her dog Buck. She is survived by her brother and sisters, Betsy Brewer (Curtis Brewer) of Raleigh, Mary Lee Bradford, (Mark Scheerer) of Winston Salem, Dr. James Bradford (Dr. Ruby Grimm) of Statesville; as well as her nieces and nephews, Cathy Hartman, Lisa Linden, Curt Brewer, Josh Brewer, Julie Bradford Martin, Natalie Bradford, Chandler Bradford, Sammy Scheerer. In addition, many great nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family who all loved her dearly. The family is appreciative of the caring staff at UMAR and LifeSpan and the profound impact they had on her life for many years. They would also like to thank Autumn Care and Hospice for their love and care. Jean adored her family, her church and Camp Joy. The camp week in Bonclarken was the highlight of her year every summer for 31 years. She loved performing as Elvis in the Camp Joy talent show each summer and had a deep affection for the Camp Directors and Counselors. A family graveside service will held Saturday August 6, 2011, and the family will then gather to receive friends at 1125 Dogwood Rd, Statesville NC from 4-6pm. A celebration of Jean's life will be held Sunday August 7, 2011 at 3pm at First ARP Church; East 123 Broad Street, Statesville, N.C.
