Janice Tuttle Morris

Janice Tuttle Morris, age 78, of Thomasville, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, November 29, 2022, at the Hinkle Hospice House in Davidson County. A life-long resident of Davidson County, she was born on April 5, 1944, to the late Carl McKinley Tuttle and Nannie Geneva Black Tuttle. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Christopher Brian Myers, and her siblings, Luther Tuttle, Wilbur Tuttle, Austin Tuttle, Nellie Kennedy, and Peggy Lohr.
In addition to being a wonderful cook, Mrs. Morris enjoyed traveling across the U.S. and volunteering in her church and the community as long as her health permitted. She spent her career working in the textile industry, retiring from PPG Industries in Lexington.
As the matriarch of the family, those left to cherish her memory include her husband of thirty years, Larry M. Morris; daughter Janet Leigh Cain, husband Kenneth, of Thomasville; stepson L. Wayne Morris, wife Lisa, of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren Alexander Byrd, wife Courtney, of Thomasville, Rebekah Byrd, fiancée Spenser Durika, of Roanoke, VA; step-grandchildren Mariah Griffin, San Antonio, TX, Kayla Kincaid, Thomasville, Hunter Morris, Pawley’s Island, SC, and Britney Payne, Mooresville, NC.
A private entombment will be held at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Davidson County, to the Pastor’s Pantry in Lexington, NC, or the charity of one’s choice. Nicholson Funerals & Cremations, Thomasville Chapel, has the honor of serving the family.
