Mrs. Janath Feimster Sigmon, 77, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2017, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Sigmon was born in Iredell County on January 31, 1939, and was the daughter of the late James Clyde and Sally Holland Feimster. She was a graduate of Harmony High School and on May 11, 1962, she married Fred Sigmon and together they shared 54 years of marriage until his death on September 21, 2016. Mrs. Sigmon was a member of Beulah Baptist Church. She retired from Thomasville Furniture. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Rhonda Martin (Donald); a grandson, Brandon Martin; and a granddaughter, Heather Martin, all of Statesville along with a sister, Shelby Sharpe of Troutman. Funeral services for Mrs. Sigmon will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, January 30, 2017 at Beulah Baptist Church with Rev. Henry Cook officiating. Interment will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 AM at the church prior to the service.
