� Rev. James David "Jim" Snead, 69, of Statesville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, August 3, 2014. Rev. Snead was born in Iredell County on March 30, 1945, and was the son of the late Willie T. Snead and Gracie Christie Snead. He was a graduate of Iredell County schools and on August 14, 1964, he married the former Brenda Kay Estes, who preceded him in death on June 28, 2008. On August 29, 2009, he married the former Kathy Estes, who survives. Rev. Snead was formerly a self employed electrician and was owner/operator of J.D's Electrical Co. When Jim was called into the ministry, he was given a clear vision as to his calling and he was led to start a church. He was the founder and Pastor of ClearVision Missionary Baptist Church. Through his ministry, Jim touched many lives for Christ with his love and through his faith in Jesus. The family is thankful for his surrendering to his calling in life. To God be the Glory. In addition to his wife, Kathy, Rev. Snead is survived by two daughters, Darlene S. Forsack (Robbie) and Karen S. Auton (Donnie), both of Statesville; three step-sons, Allen Isenhour (Shelia) of Stony Point, Randy Isenhour (Rada White), and Mark Lewis (Shawnee, both of Statesville. He is also survived by two grandsons, Stanley Forsack (Rachel) and Cole Auton, along with four granddaughters, Amanda F. Bryson (Brandon), Tanya A. Hall (Kalib), Emerald Auton, and Hanna Auton, all of Statesville. He is further survived by three sisters, Ruth Warren, Velma Sherrill, both of Statesville, and Brenda Adams of Winston-Salem, along with 10 step grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Rev. Snead will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 7, 2014, at ClearVision Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Jason Buchanan, Rev. Scott Williams, and Rev. Jeff Rowland officiating. Burial will follow in the Gospel Way Baptist Church cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday evening from 6:30 until 8:30 PM at Nicholson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to ClearVision Missionary Baptist Church, P.O. Box 6123, Statesville, NC 28687.
