James "Jimmy" David Williams, age 47, died at home in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, on Friday, February 18th, 2022. We lost him in the prime of his life but know that he is in the bosom of our Lord and Savior, Jesus. On a warm Saturday, July 13th, 1974, James was born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Rachel Williams. His entry into this world was met with the love of family and friends. James has served in many capacities at different companies throughout his life. He has worked at the Winston-Salem Journal, self-employed Handyman, Caretaker, to name a few. James served as a dedicated volunteer cooking and cleaning at First Waughtown Baptist Church. If you needed help, a hard worker, and a dedicated individual, James was there to meet the call. James loved his family, spending time playing spades, and making others smile. He knew just the right time to say, "I love you!" James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Samuel Edward and Etta Mae Williams; two aunts, Flossie Williams and Georgia Teal; two uncles, Harold Teal and Larry Craft; and four cousins, Larry Craft Jr., Tramond Gentry, Terahlee Howell, and Kelsey Williams. James is survived by his mother, Rachel Williams of Winston-Salem, NC; his daughter, Artesia Ingram of Greensboro, NC; his uncle, Sammy (Tida) Williams of Midway, NC; his aunt, Pamela (Larry, deceased) Craft of Winston-Salem, NC; his aunt, Clara Williams of High Point, NC; his uncle, Albert (Sylvia) Williams of High Point, NC; his uncle, David Williams of Winston-Salem, NC; his aunt, Sametta (Collins) Graham of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of cousins, family, and friends. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, March 5th, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Agape Baptist Fellowship Church located on the lower level of Carolina Christian College, 4209 Indiana Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27105. After the Memorial services, James will be laid to rest at Oaklawn Memorial at 3:00 pm. A repass will be held for family only following the services. We would like to thank everyone who gave towards James' Memorial, who called and showed love to us during our time of grieving. Please continue to pray without ceasing.
