James “Jimmy” Franklin Hudson, age 79 of Randleman passed away at his home on April 4, 2023. Born on October 16, 1943, in Worthville, NC, he was the son of the late Glen Franklin and Ruth Coble Hudson.
Jimmy graduated from Randleman High School in 1962. He began his grocery career of twenty-seven years as a bag boy moving to positions of head stock clerk, assistant manager, and culminating as general manager. Upon retiring as general manager, he worked at Klaussner Furniture until 2007.
Jimmy was a member of Worthville United Methodist Church where he served as a trustee. He enjoyed traveling with his family and especially spending time with his granddaughters. He also enjoyed playing softball and golf.
In addition to his parents, Glen and Ruth Hudson, Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Golda Hudson Frazier. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 53 years, Lynn Brady Hudson; son James Franklin “Frank” Hudson, Jr. and wife, Mi Son, of Honolulu, HI; and their daughters Hannah and Kayley; daughter, Gina Hudson Cox and Husband, Preston Cox of The Woodlands, TX; and their daughters, Chloe, Ella, Piper, and Trinity.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm, Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Worthville United Methodist Church with pastor Abraham Kim and Pastor Joseph Farlow officiating. The family will receive friends immediately after the service in the Fellowhip hall of the church.
