Mr. James Ernest Creedmore, 93, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, May 30, 2011 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Mr. Creedmore was born Jan. 8, 1918 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Floyd Ernest Creedmore and Bessie Holland Creedmore. He was a graduate of Statesville High School and he served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He was first married to the late Rosalie Osborne Creedmore, who passed away May 2, 1985 and later married Mary Arnold Richardson Creedmore, who survives of the home. He was the owner/ operator of Creedmore City Cabs and was a member of First Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Jane C. Fulbright of Statesville, Nancy C. Wooten (Sam) of Conyers, GA; 6 grandchildren, Todd Fulbright, Wesley Fulbright, Bradley Fulbright, Natalie Cook (David), Michelle Poole (Ed), Allyson Timms (Marty), 5 great grandchildren, Hannah Cook (Dillon), Meredith Poole (Morgan), Parrish Timms (Fisher), Michaela Ledeune, Braylon Fulbright, three step-children,Cathy Hyerges (Alex), Dawn Kouba, Marsha Skjaerris, two step-grandchildren, two nieces, Ann McLain, Jan Braswell and one nephew, Chip Creedmore (Nancy). Mr. Creedmore was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Holland Creedmore and his wife, Vonnie W. Creedmore, one sister, Kathrine C. McLain and one son-in-law, Johnny H. Fulbright. Graveside funeral services will be conducted 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 5, 2011 in Oakwood Cemetery with Dr. Earl Linderman officiating.
