J.D. Lambert

J.D. Lambert, 81, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House. J.D. was born in Iredell County and was the son of the late Lawrence and Reba McDaniels Lambert.
J.D. was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served as a military police officer.
J.D. was married to Brigitte Elvira Kinzler Lambert and she preceded him in death on February 3, 2010.
He was retired from Sunbeam Bakery where he worked as a delivery route driver.
J.D. was an avid sports fan. He especially loved his Braves baseball, Panthers football and UNC Tarheels. He was a very giving man who loved to help others. He was a loving and caring husband and father who provided tirelessly for his family. He will be missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are two sons, Michael Lambert and Gary Lambert along with one granddaughter, Erica Lambert.
Funeral services honoring the life of J.D. Lambert will be conducted at 2:00 PM Monday, July 22, 2019 at the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. The family will visit with friends Sunday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
