Iris Vieira (da Silva) Parker

Iris Vieira da Silva Parker, 75, of Statesville, passed away December 25, 2015 at the Gordon Hospice House.  She was born in Recife, Brazil on August 1, 1940 to the late Miguel da Silva Maria Vieira da Silva. Mrs. Parker had an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration and was married to Melvyn Auldin Parker who preceded her in death in 2003.  She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and loved volunteering her services with them. Left to cherish her memory are a son, Frank Hansen; three daughters, Candace Heinz, Jennifer Henke, and Mindy Archer; three grandsons, Michael and Jonathan Hansen, and Andrew Weaver; and two great grandchildren. A private family burial will be held at a later date at Iredell Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
