Ida (Burton) Gaither

Ida Burton Gaither, 72, formerly of Statesville, passed away, Sunday, December 25, 2016 in Brevard, NC. Mrs. Gaither was born October 2, 1944 in Forsyth County and was the daughter of the late Paul Burton and Inez Morton Burton Grose. She was a graduate of Forsyth County Schools and in her earlier years, worked for Walt Disney as a Floor Designer. She is survived by one sister, Betty Webster of Mooresville, one nephew, Harold Paul Webster of Cary, one niece, Wendy W. Neff (David) of Houston, TX and one grandniece, Payton Neff of Houston, TX. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold Burton. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2016 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial will be held Monday at Oaklawn Cemetery in Winston Salem, NC.
