Hugh Franklin Hudspeth

Mr. Hugh Franklin Hudspeth, 88, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Gordon Hospice House.                 Mr. Hudspeth was born May 10, 1928 in Yadkin County and was the son of the late John Lee and Pearl Tucker Hudspeth. He attended schools in Yadkin County and served in the U.S. Army.  In November of 1960, he was married to the late Mary Johnson Fox Hudspeth, who passed away in 2010. He was a past member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church and was retired from Scioto.                 He is survived by one grandson, Allen Fox (Cindy) of Statesville, one granddaughter, Deborah Fox (Stanley) of Stony Point, four great granddaughters, seven great great grandchildren, one special sister, Shirley Brown of Yadkinville, NC and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by one son, Neil W. “Butch” Fox, Jr.                 Graveside memorial service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 11, 2016 at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Rev. J. B. Parker officiating.
