Howard Lee Norris

Howard Lee Norris, affectionately known as "Big Cat," was born on July 14, 1965, in Forsyth County, North Carolina. He departed this life peacefully at the age of 59 on December 6, 2024, in Guilford County, North Carolina.

Howard spent his career working as a skilled welder for A-M Truck Body, where he was valued for his dedication and craftsmanship. Beyond his work, he was a simple man with a deep appreciation for smooth R&B music and a passion for boxing, particularly admiring the legendary Muhammad Ali.

Howard was preceded in death by his father, James Francis Norris Sr.; his mother, Deloris Norris; his sister, Darlene Norris; and his brothers, James Norris Jr. and Roland Norris.

Left to cherish his memory are his beloved daughter, Dahlia Hardaway; his brother, Roy Norris Sr.; and his sister, Mary Leach. He will also be fondly remembered by his nieces Rashae Norris and Shanaee Norris, and his nephews Desmond Wilkes, Christopher Leach, Roy Norris Jr., and Syr-tonio Barnes, along with a host of other family members and friends.

At this time, no services will be held for Howard. The family kindly requests that no flowers or donations be made, allowing them to grieve privately.

Howard's gentle spirit and love for the things that brought him joy will be remembered by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
