Henry Clay Siceloff, 95, of Statesville, passed away, Thursday, July 14, 2011 at the Statesville Brian Center. Mr. Siceloff was born November 4, 1915 in Coryell Co., Texas and was the son of the late James Henry Siceloff and Ettie Louisa White Siceloff. He attended Scotts School and was in the U.S. Army Air Force, in the 381 Bomb Squad and served in the European Threatre during World War II. On March 1, 1939, he was married to the late Cora Louise Bell Siceloff, who died in September 21, 2005. He worked for Statesville Laundry from 45-73 and Interstate Bolt 73-2003. He was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 65 and the 40 and 8 Organization. He also was the Athletic Director of the American Legion Baseball Team and was inducted into the American Legion Baseball Hall of Fame. Mr. Siceloff is survived by one daughter, Betty S. Stewart (Ronnie) of Statesville, one granddaughter, Tracie Lynne Stewart of Statesville, one sister, Ovada S. Walker of Statesville and four sisters, Beverly Houston (Ronnie), Carolyn Haynes (J.P.), Libby Renegar (James) and Kathy Bowen (Randy). In addition to his wife of 66 � years and his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Nellie Shaw and one brother, Owen Siceloff. Funeral services will be conducted 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Hebron Baptist Church with Rev. Darren Johnson and Rev. William Wease officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Friday evening at Nicholson Funeral Home from 7:00-8:30 p.m. and at other times will assemble at the home of granddaughter, Tracie Stewart, 254 Dunlap Gate Rd. in Statesville. Active pallbearers will be Jerry, Jimmy and Brent Haynes, Wayne Green, Wally Eades and Ronald Goodin.
