Heather Sigmon Freeze

July 11, 1986 — March 4, 2019

Mrs. Heather Elizabeth Sigmon Freeze, 32, of Statesville, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House surrounded by family. Her death was caused from a rare chronic decease called Arachnoiditis and other complications.
Mrs. Freeze was born in Iredell County on July 11, 1986 and was the daughter of Glenn Ray Sigmon and Teresa Kay Jenkins Sigmon. She was a graduate of West Iredell High School and received her associate degree in nursing from Mitchell Community College where she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa. On March 13, 2010 she married Robert Allen Freeze. Allen, the love of Heathers life, went home to be with the Lord in December 2011 and now Heather is with him throughout eternity.
Heather was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church. Prior to her disability, she worked as a registered nurse with Iredell Memorial Hospital having worked as a Telemetry Nurse and, worked in ICU and emergency room. She also worked at Lake Breeze ENT and Allergy and Cornerstone Asthma & Allergy Associates.
Lane was born on September of 2011 to Allen and Heather Freeze. He is a beautiful boy that will carry on and honor the legacy of his parents. He is the spitting image of his daddy and has the loving big heart of his mother. He will miss his parents dearly.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Albert Jenkins and paternal grandparents, Clyde Sigmon, Sr and Emma Marie Sigmon.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved son Lane Allen Freeze, her parents, Glenn and Teresa Sigmon, sister Amanda S. Fisher (Joshua), grandmother Lucille Jenkins and a nephews Greyson & Garrett Fisher, all of Statesville. She is also survived by Chad Anderson who has been a loving and caring true friend to Heather.
Funeral services celebrating the life of Heather Freeze will be conducted at 1:00 PM Saturday at Mountain Road Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Bowman and Rev. Justin Woolledge officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband immediately following in the Bethlehem United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 5:30 until 8:00 PM at Nicholson Funeral Home.

We would like to thank Brandi Harris (RN) and Tracy (CNA) ¬¬¬¬¬¬with Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County for their compassionate and loving heart and always being an advocate for Heather in her final months, weeks, and days. Also, Dr. Charles Frankhouser for his compassion and medical care. Plus, all the nursing staff at the Gordon Hospice House for all the care and support because times like these are never easy but having caring and compassionate people to take care of your loved ones make is seem a little more bearable.
