Hazel Spann Anderson

Mrs. Hazel Spann Anderson, 76, of Statesville, died February 26, 2015 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Born July 16, 1938 in Iredell County, she was a daughter of the late Delmar Caldwell Spann and Lizzie Mae Cloer Spann. She was a homemaker and enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed going to yard sales, shopping, cooking, going to the beach and having family together for Sunday dinners. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Allen Anderson, a daughter, Peggy Ann Anderson and brothers: James Thomas Spann and Delmar C. Spann, Jr. Survivors include sons: James Anderson (Linda) and Terrry Anderson all of Statesville, daughters: Kathy Murphy (Jim) of Olin and Janet Webb of Statesville. She is also survived by her fiancé, Steve Harrington, 15 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Services celebrating Hazel’s life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Northview Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Burchette and Rev. Donnie Dingass officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service.
