Mr. Hal B. Beasley Jr., 82, of Statesville passed away Monday, April 15, 2019 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Beasley was born March 23, 1937 in Harnett County and was the son of the late Hal B. Beasley and Madie Peacock Beasley.
He was a graduate of Cleveland High School class of 1956 and on October 12, 1956 he was married to Ida Mae Garrett Beasley who preceded him in death.
Mr. Beasley was employed with the NC Highway Department, Signal Hill Mall as maintenance supervisor and later started his own business, Hi-Works, as an electrician on signs and tree work. He was a member of Front Street Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, Royal Ambassadors Leader, and 5th Grade Boys Sunday School Teacher.
In addition to his parents Mr. Beasley was preceded in death by three brothers, Avery Beasley, James Beasley and Donald Beasley and 5 sisters, Clara Langdon, Mavis Denning, Geraleen Rose, Betty Ray and his twin Rebecca Beasley.
Mr. Beasley is survived by his son, Michael Beasley (Carol) of Moravian Falls and daughter Lisa Holt (Darrell) of Statesville; three sisters Sarah Garrett of Columbus, GA, Marie Blackwell (Kenneth) of Wendell, NC, Rosa Johnson of Smithfield, NC, one grandson, Justin Holt of Johnson City, TN and granddaughter, Amber Winter (Thomas) of Statesville and one great grandson Ryker Holt of Johnson City, TN along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Front Street Baptist Church in Statesville with Pastor Tim Stutts officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
