Grady Clark

Mr. Grady Lee Clark, Jr, 51, of Statesville, N.C. and formerly of Catawba County, passed away Monday, December 05, 2011, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville, with his loving wife Sandra Clark and his son Matthew Clark by his side. Grady fought a 2 � year battle with brain cancer. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Clark and Mr. and Mrs. Harlend Hedrick, all of Catawba County. He was born April 7, 1960, in Catawba County and was the son of Grady and Violet Hedrick Clark, Sr., who survives. Grady was of the Baptist faith. Grady was an avid animal lover. He loved to coon hunt with his dog Little Bit. He especially loved his horse Spud and his companion and protector Dingo. In addition to his parents, Mr. Clark is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Sandra McCoy Clark and his "sidekick" son, Matthew Cody Clark, both of the home. He is also survived by two sisters, Wanda Cline and Janice Huffman (Scottie) along with three brothers, Larry Clark (Faye), Stanley Clark (Betty) and Terry Clark (Rhonda) along with numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Clark will be conducted 3:00 pm Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in the Nicholson Funeral Home Chapel with his uncle, Pastor Clyde Hedrick and Pastor Lloyd Jones officiating. The family will visit with friends from 2:00 until 3:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow at a later date.
